Degree in Agricultural Engineering from Fundação Pinhalense de Ensino (1990), Masters (1994) and Doctorate (1998) in Agricultural Engineering from State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), both in the area of concentration in Water and Soil Engineering. Between 1998 and 1999, she did Post Doctorate at the Center National d’Etudes Agronomiques de Régions Chaudes, CNEARC, France. She is currently a professor at the Federal University of São Carlos – UFSCar. She has experience in Geosciences, with an emphasis on Geoprocessing, working mainly on the following topics: geographic information system, water resources, environmental management, geoprocessing and environment.

Prof. PhD. Ana Paula de Oliveira Amaral Mello
Degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (2001), Master in Agronomy (Phytopathology) from the University of São Paulo (2003) and Doctorate in Agronomy (Phytopathology) from the University of São Paulo (2007). Post doctorate at the University of São Paulo (2008-2009), researching diseases caused by phytoplasmas. She has experience in the field of Agronomy, with an emphasis on Phytopathology, starting research to control the hardening of passion fruit caused by Cowpea aphid borne mosaic virus, at the Virology laboratory of the Phytopathology Sector of Esalq/USP.

Master in Plant Genetics and Breeding, Jaboticabal (2002), UNESP. Doctorate in Plant Production, Jaboticabal (2012) UNESP. Post doctorate from FAPESP-UNESP (2105). Professional experience in several agricultural companies (Seminis Vegetable Seeds, Syngenta, Coopercitrus) and experience in agricultural production areas such as sugarcane, annual crops and dairy and beef cattle raising, projects and activities in Low Carbon Agriculture and Livestock (ABC) and Bioenergy. Achievement of a Research Internship Abroad (BEPE) scholarship at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada – School of Environment Science (Completed, 2013). Developing the project IMPACT OF SUGARCANE STRAW REMOVAL FOR BIOENERGY PRODUCTION ON CO2 BALANCE, INCLUDING CO2 EMISSIONS FROM THE SOIL and collaborating researcher in projects with Embrapa CNPM.
