Created in mid-2011, the Department of Rural Development (DDR) has a multidisciplinary team of professionals who develop teaching, research and extension activities in the areas of Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Human Sciences.

Departament Head

The current head of the Department is exercised by Prof. PhD. Guilherme Henrique Martins Rodrigues Ribeiro and his substitute, Prof. PhD. Eduardo Barretto de Figueiredo. The Department’s deliberative body is the Departmental Council, which is made up of all the department’s teaching staff, a representative from the technical-administrative staff and a representative from the student body.
